De Olifant stands as a living legacy of Dutch cigar craftsmanship. Since 1832, this Kampen-based brand has used traditional machinery—some dating back to 1888—to produce machine-made cigars with artisanal precision.

The family-owned factory blends tobaccos from over 20 sources—Brazil, Cuba, Java, Sumatra—to create profiles ranging from mild and sweet to spicy and robust.

Each cigar line uses a signature Sumatran sand-leaf wrapper. These silky wrappers feature a delicate “sand” sheen and infuse the smoke with herbal and nutty undertones. 

Fillers may include Cuban-seed long-fillers in Robusto styles, delivering richer tones of caramel and pepper in models like Robusto Valentino.

The brand offers everything from short 3½″ cigarillos to 4½″ Coronas and larger Robustos. Smaller formats like Fantje and VOC burn quickly but still deliver full-bodied aroma and flavour. Each cigar is aged post-rolling in cedar-lined cellars, ensuring smoothness and consistency in every puff.
